Sara Ramirez

Meet Sara Ramirez, Director of Nature Equity and Engagement for the San Antonio River Foundation. As an avid eco-adventurer, Sara enjoys hiking, kayaking, and is also a member of the 2019 Texas Master Naturalist program.

Just like Confluence Park, Sara’s educational background is a blend of science, art, and culture. Sara received a B.S.A. in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin, and is currently pursuing her M.S. in Environmental History from St. Mary’s University. Sara has years of experience in different educational arenas throughout San Antonio and Austin specializing in S.T.E.A.M. programming and interpretation.

Since 2003, our Foundation has privately raised and reinvested over $38 million dollars in enhancing your San Antonio River experience. Our project partners —the San Antonio River Authority, Bexar County, the City of San Antonio, and the US Army Corps of Engineers — have invested over $384 million in river improvements for our community. Together, our investments have added over $1.5 billion in economic impact through adjacent private investment and development.
