City Council Clean Up District 1

Join the San Antonio River Foundation, San Antonio River Authority, SA Parks and Recreation Department, and RiverAid SA for the City Council River Cleanup program. This month we’re cleaning up City Council District 1 at the Olmos Basin Golf Course on Thursday, May 1, 2025.

All materials will be provided, including gloves, trash bags, and litter grabbers. Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes; we also recommend long pants, a hat, and sunscreen for extra protection.

Bring your reusable water bottles—we’ll have a refill station available! Iced Tea and light snacks courtesy of the San Antonio River Foundation.

Stay 30 minutes or 3 hours, every minute makes a difference! Showing up late is fine! We will have staff stationed at the parking lot for the duration of our cleanup to equip and direct you.

We look forward to seeing you!

Your Generosity Has Changed Your World

Since 2003, our Foundation has privately raised and reinvested over $43 million dollars in enhancing your San Antonio River experience. Our project partners —the San Antonio River Authority, Bexar County, the City of San Antonio, and the US Army Corps of Engineers — have invested over $789 million in river improvements for our community. Together, our investments have added over $3.6 billion in economic impact through adjacent private investment and development.
