Climate Change Workshop Series

Join Yanawana Herbolarios for a 5-part Workshop series covering Emergency Preparedness for Home and Neighborhood. Registration is required.

Climate change has a profound effect on our daily lives but none so much as in the middle of a natural disaster emergency (such as Winter Storm Uri). Each workshop will cover a separate stage of emergency preparedness. It is recommended to attend all 5 workshops but information from each workshop will be made available for folks unable to attend all 5 events. In these workshops, we’ll discuss:

  • The facts and myths of Climate Change
  • San Antonio’s Climate Initiative Plan
  • The stages of Emergency Management (and how to apply them to your family and neighborhood planning)
  • Participate in an interactive emergency management planning activity that will help you prepare your family/neighborhood (activity will match class topic)

Your Generosity Has Changed Your World

Since 2003, our Foundation has privately raised and reinvested over $43 million dollars in enhancing your San Antonio River experience. Our project partners —the San Antonio River Authority, Bexar County, the City of San Antonio, and the US Army Corps of Engineers — have invested over $789 million in river improvements for our community. Together, our investments have added over $3.6 billion in economic impact through adjacent private investment and development.
